1. Youth Art Month Flag Design Contest

Need an quick activity before winter break? Art club looking for something to do?
Get ready for the annual nationwide event planned for Youth Art Month, the YAM Flag Design Contest.
Schools throughout the United States will hold flag design competitions. Each state will select a design which will be made into a 3’ x 5’ flag/banner and displayed at the National Art Education Association Convention in Boston, MA.
Winning designs will also be honored at the Youth Art Month Reception in Harrisburg in March and winners will receive prizes! Every art teacher is encouraged to involve their students, from Kindergarten through Grade 12. You may approach it with your students in any creative way you would like. This is a great activity for your Art Clubs and NAHS/NJAHS chapters.

Read all directions and specifications carefully!
Due Date: Postmark on or before Friday, January 18, 2019.
Up to three designs will be accepted from each participating teacher.
Designs can me submitted digitally through email or mailed in a sturdy mailer with rigid cardboard to prevent creasing.Directions for Participation
